Shiv Mirabito is a Tantric Buddhist-Hindu yogi, anthropologist, archivist, artist, photographer & poet who began writing as a teenager while living at Allen Ginsberg’s Cherry Valley poetry commune. He now divides his time between Woodstock, India & Nepal. His imprint, Shivastan Publishing, craftprints chapbooks & broadsides on handmade paper in Kathmandu.
FootHills Publishing was formed in 1986 for the purpose of getting into print the words of poets who found it hard to get their work out to the public other than at readings or in the occasional magazine. The first few books were published in conjunction with Great Elm Press, operated by Walt Franklin. Since then, FootHills Publishing has released more than 300 chapbooks or books.

The mission and purpose of Albany Poets is to increase awareness and activity of the art of poetry and spoken word in the Albany, NY area. Albany Poets wishes to accomplish this by hosting poetry events, readings, open mikes, and workshops around the upstate New York area in order to promote the art and increase participation by both established poets in the community as well as new writers and performers.
